TURISMO EM JERUSALÉM
Entre
os séculos I e II destacou-se do judaísmo a religião cristã, doutrina
daqueles que reconhecem JESUS CRISTO como o Messias esperado. (Jesus em hebraico
Messias, “o ungido do Senhor”).

Além
do Antigo Testamento (a Bíblia hebraica), os cristãos consideram sagrado o
Novo Testamento, composto pelos quatros Evangelhos, pelos Atos dos Apóstolos,
pelas Epístolas e pelo Apocalipse.

A
fé cristã diferencia-se do judaísmo em muitos aspectos, tais como: a crença
em que JESUS resgatou a dívida do pecado original (supostamente
cometido por Adão e Eva), oferecendo a própria vida para restituir ao homem o
amor de Deus; a convicção de que Deus, único em natureza, subsiste em três
pessoas: Pai, Filho e Espírito Santo; que o próprio Jesus, a segunda pessoa da
trindade, é homem e Deus ao mesmo tempo; a fé na ressurreição de Cristo.
Ao
proclamar o amor e a igualdade entre os homens como valores fundamentais, Cristo
entrou em choque com a sociedade escravista e foi sacrificado.
Seus
ensinamentos, porém ultrapassaram as fronteiras da Palestina, onde viveu
estendendo-se por todo o Ocidente.

Drive to the Mount of Olives to visit the place of Ascension, the Church of the Pater Noster, continue to the Garden of Gethsemane to visit the Church of Agony, the Tomb of the Virgin Mary, Thence to Bethlehem passing by Rachel’s Tomb, view Mount Herodium, the Shepherds’ Field and the Field of Boaz. In Bethlehem visit the Church of Nativity, the Manger, the Chapel of St. Jerome, then visit the Palestine Archaeological Museum. |

Drive to Bethany to see the Tomb of Lazarus, the House of Mary and Martha, the recent Church built on 4th and 12th century foundations, proceed to Jericho passing by the Apostle’s Fountain, the Good Samaritan’s Inn, them to the River Jordan to see the Place of Baptism, retrurn to Jericho to visit Elisha´s Fountain, view Mount Temptation, visit the Excavations at the site of Ancient Jericho, continue to the Dead Sea. Back to Jerusalem. |

Drive to the Garden Tomb, then to Nablus, on the way visit Tell el Full (Hill of the Beans) or Gabaat Saul the birth Place of Saul, Tell El Nasben (Ancient Maspha) where Saul was appointed King, visit Beetoth where Mary and Joseph missed the Child while going on their way to Nazareth, view Beitin or (Bethel) where Jacob saw the Ladder which reached from earth to Heaven, Shiloh where the Ark of the Covenant stayed 300 years, Jacob’s Well, where Jesus Christ spoke with the Samaritan Woman, view the traditional sight where the body of Joseph was buried (Tomb of Joseph) continue to see the Two Celebrated Mountains (Ebal and Garazim) then to the Samaritan Synagogue to see the Oldest Bible in the Word. |
